Solo weekly Grand Prix.

I'm trying 100% in this game and I'm trying get the Achievement "The Whole Event" done. The problem is that I already tried 7 races and in every race I got either wrecked by someone or disqualified for no reason. Is they any option to play this solo like the weekly events? Because it's super annoying that I always have to wait one entire hour and just can't hop into another Grand Prix right away, it's a waste of time. I can't count it anymore how many yellow flaggs I had in the first round of almost every Grand Prix, I have safety rating S and still get matched with D and C. Even starting on pole doesn't help because someone gonna bump into me like he has no brakes and wreck my car.

Edit: Got it, had the luck starting from the last position, still got 4th place because of the insane amount of rammers wrecking themself but I made it without anyone touching me once except the AI.

It seems I'm usually solo when joining the countdown at the last second. It's possible players waiting longer are matched first, and the last few in line get put in a mostly empty race.

As for getting rammed by someone from behind, I focus on avoiding the turn 1 chaos rather than going on the perfect racing line. Protect the inside line, brake early, and let others crash out while you come away unscathed. If you're in the top 3 after turn 1 that's a good place to be with the rest of the race ahead of you.
