Game Crashes on startup screen

The game crashes as soon as I press any key to start. I have good enough specs and hardware. Not sure what todo.

same here. whats the fix? some have suggested downfrading to dx11 from dx12

I have the same problem. Tried dx11 and dx12, but apparently the issue is with my graphics card (Intel HD 4000) which doesn't have enough RAM to support the game. Going for a refund...

I even tried to add this line to the Game Launch Options:
-high -nod3d9ex -dx11

Some people said it worked for them, but not for me.

ok. update. i uninstalled the game. then reinstalled it. removed my graphics card driver and installed from fresh and updated to latest windows update. Rab the game in the dx11 option from launching within Steam and........ it works..... so far 🤓😊

Yep, apparently if you have "image sharpening" enabled with the latest drivers, you may experience crashing. Either revert back to the previous drivers or disable "image sharpening".

got an AMD RADEON Vega 8 card. it's not the best but seems to be coping. rest of my spec odd way above recommended (RAM SSD etc)

seems the problem that f1 2018 had returend to f1 2019 (at least for me and a friend) where the game ask for more vram/ram then it needs to have especially in the late races in carreer (it started at hockenheim and it now happens at the hungaroring

The fix was to update all NVIDIA drivers and re-download the game. Also try both versions of direct (11 or 12).
