Ah okay, thanks for the reply :D
Thank you :D
Yes, F1 2019 is a Arcade racing game, you can it play with xbox controller too. It's like Train Simulator... And F1 2019 don't support VR.
It's not for hardcore simracer from iRacing or rFactor2.
Williams #1
I always laugh when people say F1 2016-2018 are arcade games, no it's not you noob. Try doing a 100% race in cockpit with no assists and managing drs battery deployment and differential per turn while managing your tires and make consistent laps. You can make it an arcade game by using TC or ABS and racing lines in T-cam with a controller.
i dont think theres any need to go totally mental like that. and theres no need to be quite so offended when someone says something negative about something you like. its not going to change how you feel about it is it?
it depends on your context really,
it doesnt have the tyre simulation of titles like RF2, the physics arent anywhere near real world, like say the rss formula mods or similar in titles like AC, the racing ai is weak when compared to titles like, again RF2, or AMS/GSC
The graphics engine is very limited, although this years looks more promising.
it has been very cookie cutter, with only a few decent strides made recently, like thr R+D in more recent titles, which still wasnt perfect. hell alot of features that it has now, such as pace laps, R+D, proper session simulation, safety car both virtual and real, it didnt have till recent titles, and alot of AI qualy times are still baked in rather than realtime
its certainly aimed more at a casual audience, who will be playing it on their sofa, with a pad, the fact that guys, such as myself, will be getting it, as i do every year, and using my wheel, no assists, higher difficulty etc doesnt make it any more of a sim, when compared to actual more technically superior titles
fundamentally, i believe its safe to call it simcade, even arcade and not get triggered by it, because when you look at it objectively, that is its aim, it isnt selling itself or being marketed as a hardcore simulation of formula one, its physics and everything else.
its meant as an enjoyable title, where a large portion of players will be on console also, and where the competition/rivals to the game are niche and/or limited to pc and modded installs of more robust simulation programs, like RF2, AC ,AMS,
This is of course my opinion and if you disagree, youre most welcome to of course, it doesnt change my feelings, but i gotta say, this tips the needle closer to arcade than hardcore sim.
To answer OP: yes, absolutely, you can enjoy this in your nomex suit, in a racing chair with your direct drive wheel 100% races, legendary AI etc, and you can also enjoy it on the sofa, on a ps4/xbox, with a pad, a beer, and 25% race lengths and everywhere in between. like with anything, you get out what you put in
