I had to do that for my controller.. Gave up on my wheel since Logitech stopped supporting it.
G25 here too, and concrats you have chosen the HARD MODE with this wheel :-)
With only 2 buttons on the wheel and the rest + d-pad on the H-Shifter you are in for some real Old Skool Nigel Mansel type of racing, one hand on the Steer, the other on the shifter, just like how real men in the past raced, not like the console generation lik Verstappen en Norris ;)
But i had to redo every button in the game to make it work,
Wheel Buttons - DRS - Rearview (yes as a second handicap, i use a single 27" screen, so i cannot see the mirrors, thus need to look behind once in a while)
Top four Buttons - ERS Up/Down / Fuel Rich/Lean
D-pad just for the menu's
Shifter Stick
------------------
First/Second Gear = Brake Bias Setting
Third/Fourth Gear = Differential Setting
Lower range of buttons

1 Cycle through screens
2 Radio Button
3 Engine Mappings
4 Pit lane limiter
Using a G25 severely limits you as the buttons are at a poor position, but its great ofc to learn to drive with one hand ;-)
TBH at first it was near impossible, and took me ages to get used too, now-a-days its not that hard, biggest issue is mostly ERS settings that you change couple of times per Lap, and at first its scary to leave one hand on the wheel (especially my G25 has hardly any torque left in its engine, its acient old) keeping it straight is a challenge.
4hrs in... Well play F1 series for ages with this wheel, still not entirely used to it, due the fact the wheel is so unpractical with its buttons.
Still saving up for a Fanatec, but the wife has issues with me spending over 1000 euro on a wheel, hence i still have this old G25 ;)
Now load up the Historical cars and grab a Lotus 79, thats where the G25 was made for :D
