A.I. to **** strong at the START
WRT is happening? No matter the A.I. difficulty, whether is 5 or 85, no matter how I choose to start the race, whether is an assisted start or not, I always lose 4-5-6 positions after the start. WTF is this, Bugmasters? This game is starting to become one of the worst F1 games ever

Same problem for me, usually losing around 2 places at the start.

In cockpit view you get a visual indicator of perfect revs. It's a lot less than 10k!

Have fun :)

Just load up a single player GP and restart a bunch of times until you get it. I've not really had so much of a problem that I can't call my fault and I've had several fantastic starts that let me leapfrog a lot of AI. There's no player disadvantage, you're just not doing something right yet.
Got no issue here, and I started over on my new account, 110%, Med TCS, ABS on, Last time, I won my drivers and team championships with HAAS on 110% the same, and this is my first F1 game with my first G920 run .

I don't know why people keep having issues and blaming everyone and everything for their short comings besides themselves, and wonder why they keep having said issues . Doesn't work that way mate .

The way I got gud was to practice starting. Load up a single player GP and run the start a bunch of times, find the right rev range and pedal/trigger pressure.

It'll take you less time to do that than it would for me or someone else to record a video and upload it.

While I play F1 with a wheel, I still play a lot of racing games with a controller. It's a little trickier to be as accurate but it's still down to practice and muscle memory. Just put 10 or 20 minutes into restarting a race until you can get the launches right and that memory will be with you.

with a pad you should feel a vibration when at optimal revs

Always start the race with the formation lap. If you don't you start in cold ass tires and you spin like crazy. Also put traction control to medium or off. I have it on medium and I just rev the engine like it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Miata and when the lights go out I pop the clutch and short shift untill 4th gear and I never lose a place. When you have traction control on full you just get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ starts like Max had during Austria.
