race starts with worn tyres??

starting every career mode race with tyres word around 50-60% even though i have spares left over from qualifying and i dont know what i can do about it but its killing my career mode having to pit in 1-2 laps

you start on tyres from Q2 so pick and use them carefully. Do one good lap to get thru to Q1 then will have pretty fresh set for race.

You have to read the rules. When you qualify in top10 in Q2 you progress into Q3 but you start the race on the same tyre compound with which you set the qualifying lap. I advise to manualy and slowly prepare the lap so you have every bit of grip in your tyres and do just 1 lap on them and then slowly back to the pits. That is why you may see top teams getting into Q3 on medium tyres not softs.

Yeah I wrote the qualy wrong way round but I knew what I meant and q2 is still q2 lol

ah my bad cos this never happened in 2018 (bugged maybe) but i always had fresh tyres in that instead of this one, so whatever tyres you last used in qualy are the ones you use to start the race in cheers guys

It worked fine last year, did you actually have tyre wear on last year? If you get into the top 10 then you start on the tyres you used in Q2. Not sure how you have such worn tyres, you should only do one lap in Q2 per set, if you're doing more you're killing it yourself, as the AI will also start on worn tyres.

Okay so i got it that you start on tyres from Q2 and not Q3 even if you’re Q3 lap is faster. However how do I know exactly which set in Q2 im going to start on? Is it the set i go the fastest in?

Yep it's the set that you do the fastest time with in Q2, so avoid doing multiple flying laps on one set of tyres
