Chance your button navigation. It’s probably that you haven’t assigned a button to the voice control

He maybe referring to the voice not working at all for many. Ive had the issue from 2017 till this version. When you toggle the radio, the voice is crossed out and you are required to use keys to navigate the menu. Its irritating and Ive seen no cure.

To get mine to work before launching game make sure you do Speech recognition in windows control panel. I am on W7 so maybe different for W10. Assign a button to voice command but you've probably already done that.

Found this solution in the 2018 discussions and it actually worked for me.

Go into your F1 2019 gamefolder.
And then open the "installers" folder.

Execute "x64_SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi" file.
When asked for action, select "Repair".

After installation is finished,
execute "MSKinectLangPack_enUS.msi" file
or another file which matches your language.

since I have a new pc, I'm struggling to get the voice commands working. Of course, I try this, but it didn't work. In-game I saw the mic is recognized.

I open OBS on my computer and notice that the mic volume is so loud, it records only cracking sound.

so I open my mic volume settings and turn the volume down a lot!! (10% open)
i also had to change the mic plug from the front of the pc into the back of the pc.

back to OBS and it turns out the volume is better now.
back to the game and surprisingly it works!

So maybe a good idea to take another program and run a test on the mic volume.
change the port of the mic could help to.
