F2 Career

I was expecting to be able to do a complete F2 career before progressing to F1, this is a very obvious addition to the game considering they put F2 in, which i might add was a great decision. Does anybody else find this a very strange decision to implement a weird narrative mini game like structure to the start of the career mode rather than a full F2 career? Or have i missed something? thanks.

Just found out it will be added later in the year, so that answers that then.

they wanted to create a little story like the FIFA series of games does . It's a good idea just not implemented fully yet ( if memory serves it took FIFA a few games as well ). What I'm hoping for is the driver transfer will INCLUDE entire F2 line-up . Example : some driver is underperforming and let go of and an F2 driver joins the team ( in effect the same as Butler ,Weber and player character ,just with entire F2 line-up being eligable )

Then in next year's game the story will have you first drive an entire F2 season BEFORE you can even promote to F1 ( optionally of course, you would still be able to skip the entire F2 thing )

Stories are of no interest to me, i like to make my own story. I dont think stories fit inot sports games. I assumed the F2 drivers could be move up. In the pinned comments it does say that the full F2 season is coming soon for free i think.

have a gander through the seperate championships section, I've just start an F2 championship myself to get upto speed with the game. It's not part of the main story line, but more practice than the original storyline will give you. Nothing wrong with the way they tried to go, I just cant do a full 22 lap race at a track I'm not entirely sure of to kick off my F1 career

true but it would be nice to incorporate a full F2 season in career and THEN promote ( no R & D just the qualifications and races and the obligatory one pit stop ii.e. the F2 rules )

I noticed in the pinned comments the devs have said F2 is coming to career mode, i guess they never had time to fully incorporate it by the deadline.

Yeah it's a first for them. if they can't incorporate it in this years game. i'm sure next year will have it. i like the way they are going but yeah everything takes time.
