Career mode pitstop question
I just finished France grand prix, but all the other npc and my teammate only need to stop once, when i try to adjust strategy at start i must pit twice according to strategy, is there anything i did on qualify that made this situation?

So it's because i skipped the practice session?

You can ignore the pitstops and select the tires you want manually before you come in.
you should never skip practice. the other teams will overtake you mighty fast in the development race and you will be last in season two. you have to work in f1 2019 to become the strongest team.

In quali session 2 don't destroy your tires. They carry over to the race.

Session 2 quali should be:
medium paced outlap saving your tires
1 Hotlap
Slow in lap.

change tires try again if needed.

The thing is i'm just getting started so i choose to play rather easy competition, so one lap is all i need to be top 10, and the tyre wear is rather low. However i still need to do more pitstop.

if you are only doing 1 lap in quali then you are either.

A. Destroying your tires during the race pace practice session
B. Not doing the race pace practice session.

Either way, you should be able to adjust your pit strat before the race. You can also adjust the pit strat on the fly (in the race).

I see, thank you.

You can just change the pit stop strategy manually to a 1 stop strategy, if you don't want to stop twice. If the game doesn't let you to (because you would get over 70% expected tyre wear), then you can also just put the second stop at the end of the race (and obviously not taking it in race).

Or you could also just adjust the strategy while racing. Just don't stop when you're asked to and wait some more laps before going in.
