What are your favorite puzzle games that AREN'T SpaceChem?
I feel like the only other games that have offered the same satisfaction SpaceChem has are Trainyard on iOS and the Pushmo/Crashmo games on 3DS. I still keep coming back to SpaceChem because I just can't find anything to top it.

What about you guys? What other difficult puzzle games ahve pushed you to the limits? What have you enjoyed?

Yeah Spacechem is very much at the top as far as puzzle games are concerned. That said

Great Permutator is a pretty good one:

And the "obvious" answer would be The Codex of Alchemical Engineering, which is more or less the predecessor of Spacechem. Meaning also it is not nearly as polished or good, but still worth a look:

Never heard of Great Permutator. I see they're trying to get greenlit:

It's only $2.09 on Desura right now so I bought it. Looks pretty engaging.

Most of the puzzle games I've played have been puzzle-platformer, but Liight on WiiWare is a pretty good straight puzzler.

Manufactoria[pleasingfungus.com] is a most excellent programming puzzle game, and it's completely free. I love it. I'm going to have to check out that Great Permutator.

Before I played Spacechem, I've enjoyed playing game Tetrobot and Co.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/235980/

It not that challenging but very nice ... and sometimes you have to use your brain as well.
It on sale this week, I really recommend it!

Looks neat.

I've been playing Ironclad Tactics from Zachtronics since it was in the Humble and it seems so simple in comparison to SpaceChem. I must admit that I was looking forward to a little more complexity. If anyone is on the fence about that one, it's nothing like SpaceChem at all. The strategy is simple and straightforward. It's more like a casual game than anything else.

If you like setting up logistics and "machines" you might check out Factorio. Very interesting game that has me hooked lately.

Braid!

One of my favorite puzzles of all time is C.R.U.S.H. for PSP, too bad it is such an unknown game, and i'm sure it would be VERY hard to find this days, but if you find it, GET IT!

Another puzzles that are NOT like spacechem at all, but very enjoyable, are:
Braid,
The Swapper (currently on flash sale, GET IT!),
Antichamber,
Vessel (I loved it and the music!),
Closure (another not very known game, but EXCELLENT with a very nice mechanic), and
The Bridge, (amazing! And it felt really good to beat it without having to look for guides)

As for non steam, I loved nintendo Picross and any other nonogram game.

Puzzles are definitely among my favorite game genres!

played a lot of puzzles games, and spacechem is still n°1 unmatched.
I find the great permutator more difficult than spacechem. The great permutator is a "find the unique solution" type of game, very different from spacechem.
If you want something like spacechem, there is this web game "runestone wisp" : http://runestonewisp.appspot.com/ , it is very good but not very good looking
