I hate to admit bought this game a year ago for a lot more than $2.50. I do not like to throw away money/games I bought, so i forced myself to play this only because its a 2011 game. This is a very mediocre third person shooter.I just started playing this a few hours ago. I am on mission 7 out of 12. So far took me 5hrs with some breaks (which I took to prevent me from committing suicide had I gone on playing). The visual look of this game is terrible. Bloom is horrible and even after disabling bloom, the game is too dark. There is no brightness control so all shadows appear black and its a very brown-black-hazy looking game. The graphics are usually the last thing I look for so i can over look this. The AI oscillates between some great tactical moves to the usual brain-dead motion of just standing there. The game does not save at appropriate points so i had to replay a lot of the missions. Each mission has like 1-2 checkpoints. If you dont make ti till there, then u have to restart. The tried to make one character your macho-run-n-gun-marine and the other like splinter-cell, but they failed on both counts. The only thing that works VERY well is the switching between players during the campaign. that is pretty neat. The game developers copied this tactic from another great game called "Conflict: Denied Ops" but didnt do great job. IF you have completed all games in your steam library / wishlist, then sure, buy this game, it will probably give you 6-10 hours of some frustrating fun, otherwise, I would highly recommend you skip this.. and go play something else :). Other recent third person games that I have really enjoyed are 1) Warhammer 40k space marine, (2) Binary Domain & (3) Inversion. I rate those games like 6.5 to 7.5 while i give shadow harvest a 4.5.

You can buy it for less than 2 Euro on gamersgate.com if you hurry. This is my favorite game. I've finished it 4 times (3 times on hard). Most people tend to bash a game when that is what the herd says. Nobody has the courage to be objective. Too dark? So was Doom3. Bugs? Prototype2 crashes permanently on 50% of PC's! In the 60 hours I have played I only had 2 crashes. Both were fine after restarting the game. Here is what is bad about the game. The Bloom and Ambient Occlusion are terrible. Be sure to switch both OFF. Then the graphics are fine. Many shaded areas are too dark, and you have to use your light often. You can't skip cutscenes. These aren't massive flaws and many many other games have flaws far worse. I haven't found anything wrong with the AI at all. Enemies behave well and as expected. People say it's too difficult, but I had no problem beating it 3 times on Hard. If your play style is constant run and gun then this game will be too hard. If you play patiently and slowly and enjoy waiting and aiming then you will beat it easily, even on Hard. If you compare it to the highest production value games in the world like Call of Duty and Battlefield, then this game will look bad. If you take it as an Indie game, then it is really good. I think for 5$ or less you can't go wrong.
