What is your experience of cattle hunting with yearlings?
As title describes, I'm very interested in people's experiences of hunting in the cattle ranch when they have yearlings! I tend to den quite far from the cattle ranch, so I forget all about it until the young hunters quest (at which point it is a rough idea to go cattle hunting, believe me). Any tips or tricks? Would you even bring them or do you send everyone home?

I send everyone home. Unlike for mates, there isn't an option to disable their permadeath. And i get pretty emotional when one of my pups/packmates die, soo.. Yeah, no.

I have not yet played the Saga in Lost River, but when I do I don't think I'll take anyone but my mate to the cattle ranch since I would feel awful getting one of my babies killed trying to get cows when there are plenty of elk in the sea-er-woods.

(That last bit was kind of a joke but I really really would not take my packmates to the ranch unless we were desperate and starving. I get so emotionally wrapped up in this game that I think it would crush me to make a mistake and get one of my loved ones killed.)

only ever bring your mate!! they're easy to kill with two wolves, and if you're skilled enough, you can do it by yourself. plus mate permadeath is always an option!
