If you found a wolf skull, where did you find it?
In Lost River, specifically?

I know the skulls don't have fixed locations like other collectibles, but I have found every last skull EXCEPT for the wolf skull. I even found a certain you-know-who that's tied to an achievement after living three hours in scent view trying to find all the skulls and antlers. (Yes! i even found all the antlers.)
Yet for the life of me the wolf skull is evading me, and I honestly don't know where else to look, yet SURELY my new save generated one somewhere- RIGHT?

So, for Lost River modern, if you've found it, where did you find yours? Even if it's not there for me, it's worth a shot to give a glance. It at least gives me ideas for if I missed anywhere or not.
I read somewhere that the cattle ranch was a hot spot, but the only skull I was able to find there were two cow skulls. (Which is a pity, because imagine finding a wolf skull there and the implications you're not the first wolf the rancher tried (or did) shoot.)

Other than dreaded multiplayer achievements and the glitched "Soulmates" achievement (That I should have gotten 3 times by now with separate wolves reaching age eight with the same mate, yet it never pops.) it's one of two skull achievements i'm yet to get. So I would really like the help in trying to get all the achievements, if you have any location suggestions. Thanks. <3
(Remember- Lost River modern.)

All types of required skulls for the achievements should be generated on a new game, but there's no guaranteed way to know where they'll be. There's no confirmation if there's a pattern to the spawn locations (ie if there's 1 spot that will always have a skull) or if they are set to a general area and randomly get put within that range. Only option is to take your time playing and keep an eye out for it.

The only known thing is they're usually on slopes and not in super high elevations so keeping to locales of that type might be your best bet.

I'll keep trying that, then. I found a lot on the slopes between the Lost and Found, and town. In fact I found most of them when I was often carrying a skull or antler to a new location to hoard for a collection, so i'd leave map markers to mark where to return since you can only hold one thing at a time. Yet I never found a wolf skull, and it led me to going to the far left of the map and even up to the hunting lodge hoping maybe one spawned around there or in the mountains around it, but so far no luck.
Still, for anyone reading this, keep me posted if you find one on the map, and let me know where yours was. I saw someone find one in town, but I myself had no luck. Still, it was worth a shot checking. Here's hoping there is one somewhere on the map and that the game didn't forget and just generate everything else/too many duplicates, lol.

I don't play Lost River much but I do know that you could possibly look on Amethyst Mountain if you cannot find it in Lost River. I often find wolf skulls in Rescue Creek's territory (concerning personally /hj), same with antlers.

I suggest checking wolf territories and keeping scent view on, maybe you'll come across it in one of the territories.

Don't know if you're still looking, but I found one on the slope between Temple Rocks and Allison Acres (on the TR side of the mountain). I'm looking for the moose skull.

The only one I've found was in the SE corner of Slough Creek. It was in pack territory in the steep hills, kind of near the east edge of the map.
