When telling yearlings or mate to stay at den they follow shortly after
Just got through my first year in the saga, but running into an issue. I'll tell my mate or yearlings to stay at the den to watch the new Cubs, but too often I'll turn on the map to see that they randomly decided to start following the pack - leaving the new Cubs undefended. Anyone else had this issue? Not sure what I'm doing wrong, as they label as being at the den when I leave. The den symbol will sometimes disappear or turn into the symbol for joining the hunt. Does howling for territory cause it, or is it something different?

pressing H twice and activating secondary howl will cause them to follow you

after leaving the den try targeting them then woofing them back if they follow you

if this persists, make a bug report

Are you telling them to stay while you're at the den or do you wait until they follow you out then target them and send them back? If it's the latter and they still follow you then it's a bug (unless they're starving).

They also might be super social and want to spend time with you, or they might be hungry or want to go and explore.

Wait until you're far enough away from the den (when the music changes) to woof at them to stay home. And try not to circle back into den range or they may try to follow you again. I've made that mistake a few times before at least 3 times in one day before when my mate had a major injury... whoops.
