need help pls

hello so i haven't played wolfquest in a few weeks but when i came back and load the game it wont work, no music, crash screen, and a bunch of random wolves on screen when it does load. no buttons work, cant login to my wq account, i'm really worried bc i don't want to lose my save files. does anyone know how to fix this? i've already restarted my pc that didn't work so i don't know what to do

Hello! Sorry you're having trouble. The first thing I recommend doing is verifying your game files through steam for the game. Right Click WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition in your library list, select Properties, then Installed Files, and Verify Integrity of Game Files.

It's possible since it has been a while that the game may have had a problem updating and just needs to do a quick check to see if any files are missing. If you still are having trouble, reply again on this thread.

hello just letting you know i got my game working and i have my save files, it was the beta update. i turned it off and it fixed my game, thanks for the help

I've had the same problem but is there any way to fix it without turning off the Beta? I've got saves there Id like to play. I've verified all the files and it says its all correct and I'm not sure what to do.
