you can play as your surviving pups however to continue the legacy but not the pack itself.
(I would, but I'm not sure when the next time is that I'll be in-game).
I also suggested they switch the placement of the buttons, to make them better match up with the buttons at the ends of other quests, and to add a warning if they don't want to make this match the dispersal thing. But I'm sure they'll update it to make it consistant, since this was probably just an oversight lol
Edit to add, I definitely recommend others send feedback as well so they notice faster so it happens to less people
I personally feel a possibly better choice would be that the game makes a backup save when your wolf dies - like one in reminisce mode, and then when you load it you pick in pack stats or quest panel when to move on and pass the baton to the wolf you want to take over.
