Couple of questions regarding pack size and changing maps
Hi there!

Quick couple of questions!

1: Is there a way to change my map to Lost Creek while still having my wolf and her pack? I know you can move within game to the others but haven't found Lost Creek?

2: Is there a pack limit for how many yearlings/sub-ordinates you can have overall? I love my big family and would hate for them to all have to leave u_u

1: Lost River is separate from the other maps, so you can't move to nor from there. If you want to play on that map, you'll have to start a new game (so alone/with mate only).

2: There is no limit per se, but the game is designed so that the pack doesn't get too big. Personally, the maximum I was able to reach was 12-13 members (player wolf included).

EDIT: to clarify, there is no hard limit, as in the game doesn't force your pups to disperse if you reach a certain number of members. It's the *odds* of them dispersing that create that limit, so to speak.

I'm pretty sure the devs have said they're aiming for an adult pack size of between 6-9 wolves. I don't know if yearlings factor into this. My highest is also 12-14 including yearlings and pups of the year. I've had 8 or 9 subs in my recent playthrough but that was me taking over a rival pack; they had very large numbers. Many dispersed the next fall, even had a couple disperse that spring oddly enough. I'm down to 2 subs and 2 yearlings in that pack now. I've easily had 11 members not including pups of the year.

I've heard that people have around 15-18 wolves in their pack. the person with the 18 wolves had exactly one disperse, the rest have stayed.

Yearlings are counted in the 6-9 adult average window. Pups of the year do not count towards this total.
