Elder Wolves

Hey there, everyone! I've recently gotten my favourite wolf to 8 years old, I have no experienced with elder wolves as when I get a wolf to 8 I stop playing as them however I want to play out Ash's life. I would like to get the achievement for choosing the peaceful death but I'm unsure on how to do it, and every forum on google and reddit haven't been able to give me an answer. I'd appreciate the help so much. Also feel free to tell me about your elder wolves and their packs, I'd love to hear about them

I haven't played as an elder wolf yet, so apologies if this is inaccurate.

From what I know, the peaceful death is simply not dying to anything other than sleeping or of your own accord. Since you've made it to 8 though, that probably won't be a hard feat, lol

Iirc you should get a pop-up telling you that you're going to die by the time you sleep next. You have the choice to hold down R and choose a peaceful death or you can sleep again and get a randomly assigned death. The Wiki is more specific so I'd check that out

As Depressed_Cat said, you will get a pop up telling you you're on your last day. The pop up will tell you what to press to get a peaceful or not so peaceful death. The long press of the 'R' key gives the peaceful death. Pressing 'Z' to sleep will give the not so peaceful death.

The Peaceful Death Sequence is simply unlocked by sleeping several times. (you don't have to spam sleep but you can) You will get a certain dream, also playing music in the background. Once you lay down and hold down R for several seconds, music starts playing and the UI starts fading. Once the Sequence has ended, your elder wolf is now unfortunately unplayable. However, you can go to My Wolves in the menu and select "Show Dead Wolves" to view their information.
