I NEED HELP FAST!!
I like the idea of this new elk migration thing, but right now I hate it. The only elk herds (if I find them at all) are either right on the border or in stranger wolf territoy. Which both ends up in a wolf fight. I just lost 1 pup from a fight and im about to lose more from hunger.

My territory is in the south-western corner of Hellroaring. Does anyone have any idea where I could look for elk within my terr? It just turned to fall not long ago so im not even sure if the migration has started yet.

Any help would be great! Thank you!!

How many hexes do you have? Also, you may have to resort to things other than elk. Mule deer aren't ideal, but can be helpful when elk aren't available. And if all else fails, water and hares can be a last resort.
I'm in the south-western corner of Hellroaring also, but honestly finding elk hasn't been a problem for me. If you don't have the corner border hexes, get those, and just expand your territory so the elk herds are in it. Two elk herds spawn regularly (year-round) in the bottom 5 or so hexes on the left side, so I'd also suggest looking there. Once you have a big enough pack, I'd also just suggest starting to hunt cow moose.

Elk migration isn't new, they've always done it. The game just didn't used to tell us.

I've got 30 hexes right in the corner, pretty much the Black Canyon River is about the border of my terr. I have been hunting deer but its just not enough for 13 wolves, and its hard to catch them since im on such low wakefulness.

If they're on the border go around them to push the herd away from the border and deeper into your territory. The herd is pretty easy to move in the direction you want them to go. If they're running get to the front and they'll move away from your wolf so push them where you want them.

Thanks! I'll look around in that area. If I can't find any ill try my luck on a cow moose. And yes my territory is right up to the corner so hopefully I'll find a herd. I know the Ponderosa herd likes to hang around at the top left area of my terr but one of the packs just took the hexe their in. I've already lost one pup to that pack and with two more pups on low health, so i'd rather stay out of their way.

I was planning on doing that but deiced to sleep for a few seconds to get a little more stamina but a few seconds is all it took for a rival pack to attack, claim that hex, kill my pup and scare the herd farther away. I'll keep trying and thanks for the help!
WATER. HARES.

Thisss. Nothing in elk behavior has changed as far as I'm aware, the developers just added some in-game tips to help players.
