WolfQuest is a realistic survival game. It's meant to be difficult.

I don't understand why you'd be chasing does anyway. They don't give enough meat to be worth the effort in my opinion. Plus they're faster than you, especially the pronghorn does. You can catch mule deer but you have to run them for quite a while until they run out of stamina. Just stick with the Elk cows and calves, more meat and they're easy to catch.

Elk are much easier to catch than deer, but if you don't have a lot of patience I guess it can be difficult. My advice would be to stay on easy and stick with elk.

(also guys don't be getting defensive, they're clearly struggling with the game, you just make the game look bad by insulting them and trying to defend it) (aaand they're probably exaggerating too? it's very unlikely they've played this game for 4 years without catching a single deer, they probably just find it difficult)

...Sometimes I find it easy on Ironwolf Accurate. You really just have to be cautious and strategic. Mule deer are often much faster, so if you're relying on them you should be up for a long hunt. Use stamina, sprint, and when that runs out run at a normal pace and try to bite them. You may still fail; I recommend elk, they contain more food and are slower. Weaker elk generally have their heads back at the start of the chase.

Yeah, if you want to catch mule deer, you should make a faster wolf. Also, you can really only catch pronghorn does in fall and summer, since in fall they stay with their fawns, and in summer, they have newborns.

4 years and you don't know that your preferred prey is elk? They aren't as fast as deer and are way more worth going after since killing one means you have a corpses to feast on for days.

They've been playing the game for 4 years actually, which by then- they shouldn't be struggling with it. also, what are you doing going for mule deer? they AREN'T worth it unless it's a fawn. go for elk if you want the game to be easier!!

I am genuinely fascinated by how you've managed to not catch a single doe after 4 years.
Just make a wolf with 2+ speed and hold down the shift key when you're hunting

Generally they aren't, but if I'm a single parent, and not that low on food they can be worth it. Especially if you pick a weird territory where there's not a lot of elk. Even then I prefer pronghorn though.

Can I ask what stats your wolf has? On easy stam drain is really low, so the mule deer shouldn't be too hard to catch, unless you're sleep is low, or you're wolf has a -2 speed stat. Other than that, you don't really need to catch doe mule deer. They don't give whole lot of food, and usually take too much time to be worth it. Unless your pups are activley starving, and you're desperate for food.

Does are fast. From my experience Difficulty settings generally dose not seem to effect speed, just health and damage. Elk are slower, and probably a better main food source.

You should try playing other survival games with similar mechanics. I play way too much roblox, and it's really just about coordination and watching your stamina. When I first played I struggled catching things, but I found that if I tried searching them out I wouldn't find any prey. Usually I hunt when I redo my territory borders and only chase if I can actually get close. Pro tip: dont always click lmb and "choose" to chase. You run faster and can predict their movements and gain distance faster if you just free chase. I hope that helps some.

NinetyDayGrind is a pretty ironic name for this confusing situation you're in. You've played for 4 fluffing years and still can't kill a mule deer? No wonder you grind for more than 90 days. Just get some tips from the community discussions or youtube. :Nervous_Elk:

I'm pretty sure you're just saying these things to be a troll, but remember that behind every post is a human being with feelings. They may be a child (but probably not, either way). They're clearly just frustrated. Be nice.

And anyway this discussion is getting to be almost a month old now, and the poster has not replied to a single comment. Maybe it's time to stop commenting.

Well, it's pretty clear that a player with 4 years of experience should even know how to kill a bison by now. And i did tell them, they can get some tips from community discussions or youtube.
