Best Den and Why?
Just another random discussion because I find it interesting. I like the little tree den south of slough creek by the beaver trail because it's easy food and there is a small clearing full of babies and rabbits nearby.

The other one I use alot for my wolves afraid of predators is the cave right by that one area (I'll edit the name in soon..) because it only has two places predators can attack. And, as a bonus, loner pups sit at the water's edge and look out over it, or up at the moon!

I like the McBride twin dens because there is another Den nearby and almost always some Mule deer. And as a plus the rock is super easy to defend from All predators.

I really like the burrow den down in second meadows. Always mule deer, rendezvous site nearby, 2 beaver trails close by, and in the summer/late spring elk herds spawn really close by. Also wiping out prospect peak is another bonus lol

I really like the den that's up in Crevice Lake pack that's a huge rocky outcrop. You got a view and a good amount of elk and mule deer. not too far from rendezvous sites but that's fine. All so the new tree den near the den at Aspen Heights. love it up there not too much elk near there but its really pretty.

I like the McBride twin dens due to how close they are to eachother.

That lone tree den with the rocks around it in the second meadows. it's between like, three or four beaver trails and it's really easy to spot any dangers coming your way.

I can't name specifics but I love the ones by McBride Lake and then there's one I'm pretty fond of that's around Second Meadow that's somewhat by the river.

I don't know the area but i'll try XD. My favorite is the coyote den across from the weird rock-tower den on the hill above McBride Lake. Anyone know what I'm talking about? lol. There are plenty of places predators can attack, sure, but it's in the woods so you get nice scenery but you also get an open space where you can see any predators nearby.
EDIT: typo

Pretty sure I realize the one you are talking about. As I like to choose it occasionally as well.

In amethyst mountain theres a lil strawberry-diamond formation which is useful, although the Beaver den flooded, there are three dens nearby for me to go to, alongside a tree den further down, which would take longer to get to, but is useful if i go through the four dens at the top of the formation. There are also a bunch of dens above it!!

My personal favorite den is the McBride den in slough creek. It is right by McBride lake and it is a rock den. I love it so much because there is a lake right in front of it and rocks behind it that make up the den. This can limit the amount of attacks since predators can only come from 2 ways. The most attacks I have there are cougar and coyote attacks. There are no eagle attacks although you may see many eagles flying around fishing. It is to crowded for them to hunt your pups. There are also really close dens nearby it.
Any den with open field of view. My personal favourite is the rock in the northern part of Amethyst Mountain (the closest one to the map border, i suppose). It's easy to scan the environment and detect a competitor even before the icon alert, and those 2 or 3 seconds of head start are priceless.

upd: eagles are no big deal btw once you spammed the woof enough times

Im fond of the one south of Slough Creek in the Second Meadow where its a tree with rocks around it, where the straw hat spawns. You have really good visibility to see anything coming, and there's more dens nearby. A close second is the McBride rock den, theres only two directions things can come from and theres another den right next to it, as well as a really nice one a bit north.

I like "Den #5" in Lost River. It's the one that looks like a tepee made of sticks. It's cute with good visibility, and elk herds near by!

My fave used to be the den at the Gravel Fan, because any predators (except eagles) you can see coming from a mile away. But after a few VERY stressful eagle attacks, I prefer wooded dens
