If you haven't already, check out the pinned "Having Problems? Look Here First!" Thread that is pinned in Early Access Discussion. It has things to try that may assist you.
I did look there, but it didn't help at all.
The weird thing is, this computer has always run WolfQuest PERFECTLY without the slightest problem. Now, I've had to turn graphics down from Stupendous to Beautiful, and it's still running in slow motion, freezing, skipping, the whole lot. It started a couple days ago. All of my other games are working perfectly... it's odd.
1. Dust and the like have built up in the system's fans. Time for a cleaning of them.
2. The computer has been left on for far too long. Sometimes the solution truly is turn it off then turn it back on (or turn it off for a bit and come back later).
3. There's been a driver update or two and the computer is getting a little "weh" about it.
4. Some other drivers are outdated and need attention (I use drivebooster to track those).
5. Disk cleanup of junk files/disk defrag hasn't been run for a while, so a fair amount of clutter has built up on the computer.
It's so confusing though... everything working perfectly... then the day the holidays start, the computer decided to take a holiday too! It's an odd situation... I hope that I can get back to my wolves soon.
Just to clarify, it won't be the graphics card or anything like that because it's a proper gaming computer and runs fames with much higher graphics such as Planet Zoo and AWAY: The survival series. The weird thing though... they all run fine. Every one of them. So... I'm still a bit confused, and I don't think that it could be the computer. But I will try your suggestions anyway.
Thank you!
I tried that when it happened, but it didn't change anything.
My computer can handle graphics really well - useful, when running WolfQuest!
But it's mostly working now, what with shutting down the computer overnight :)
I am so jealous you can run beautiful haha! in all serious I am also having a lot of lag recently, but my computer is old and never could run it well anyway, so probably not a related issue.
