When I play on Slough Creek I usually stay away from the lake entirely. There are some dens in its area I enjoy, just not the ones that are right on the lakefront since the lake is an obstacle I don't enjoy going around so often.
though, the McBride dens are nice and while I like them, I don't always choose them since there's several other dens I deem my favorites, like the tree den by the lake or that mossy fallen tree den (if you know what im talking about, also I really like tree dens LOL)
I think it depends on the person, but yeah second meadow has really bad flooding compared to first meadow, I don't have any issues with first meadow but second meadow? I have issues
First meadow is more swampy but it has some areas you can navigate around to stay dry. It's why I like the den in Saddle Meadows so much. You can go north and avoid the floods for food or go a lil south for easy access to 2 different beaver trails without crossing any water. It makes it all very convenient.
Edit: NVM i looekd it up on google maps and it seems to be a wierd lake being fuiled by a tiny creek. kinda wierd tbh.
