Saga Question/Suggestion: Carcass Marking

During the saga, if your packmates successfully hunt without without you, is it planned for them to automatically howl to mark the carcass? If not, is there a way to one day implement that? I just get annoyed when my mate hunts without me and I can't find the carcass.

It isn't in the game, but you should mention this in the discussion that's pinned and is for ideas. It's something many people, me included, would like in the game.

People who've seen it say mates don't actually bring down an elk, they just circle the herd and their hunger goes up, so no carcass happens anyway.

That may be how it works at the moment, but once the saga comes out and you have more adults in your pack it would be nice for them to actually hunt and mark the carcass without the player being present, as it would be very helpful for the pack in the long run. it would let the player spend more time with the pups, for one thing, and still have something to go eat when they're hungry without having to spend more time hunting.

That wold be fun, although i'd like to add that some skulls are too big for little pups to carry. Maybe as they grew up they become able to.

I think they already do this. It's been a while since iv'e brought any skull back to my den, but I think I remember being annoyed my pups kept losing them. Maybe i'm remembering wrong though.

Pups can carry skulls, I've seen them carry several of them + the smaller spike antlers. I'm pretty sure the wolf skull is the only one they can carry unless the cougar skull is also small enough and light enough for them to pick up but yes. they can carry skulls already.

They can pick up the puma and wolf, yes. All the rest are too big.

This would actually be helpful, If it is added it would save a lot of time for the player to actually keep territory up and stay with pups.

@topp maybe I think antlers would be a good size but anything like moose antlers would be to big.

heres an idea for the saga, if u go into rival territory, u could find a den symbol on the compass and if u go that way eventually u could find a stranger den, and if theres pups u could attack them. But there should also be a warning on the top of the screen that warns u about the strangers and they might fiercly try to fight u off, but if they do this they should give u an option if u wanna raid the den or not, if u dont wanna, you'll turn the other way and do whatever u were doing. but u could also come back and raid the den if u changed ur mind. For the audio, it would probably be the same audio for ur
den being attacked by predators that wanna kill ur pups, but instead ur the predator, yk?

They've already said they won't add this.
