New player, few questions about the game.
Hello everyone.

Hope you are all doing well,

I have a few questions about the game if you don't mind.

1. Aging, I know about the perks, but what are the disadvantages of aging, less stamina, get's tired more quickly, needs sleep more often? Is it even worth aging up, and if so, at what age would you recommend to stop?

2. Once my pups are grown, can I send them out to scout my territory, maintain the % of each area, hunt food, kill enemy wolves, or do they just follow me and I do everything?

3. The game does a good job explaining to the player that any area "You" the player own, if bellow 30%-40% will have enemy wolves trying to claim it for their own pack. I'm trying my best to maintain as a 1 wolf pack all 15 areas above 50% at all times. (My wolf partner is protecting the pups)

I had this area that was 91%, and right next to it I had an area that was 57%, luckily I was running to increase my influence on my 57% area when I saw the 91% area dropped to 1% within the time span of 5 seconds, and after 10 seconds or so the area became 25% for the enemy (Blue) pack, when I got there I looked everywhere, high and low, determined to kill any who intrude my area, but I saw no wolves, I was even told many times by the game "End of map, return back" or something like that, eventually I took back my area without any competition or danger what's so ever, and increased it's influence to 100% before leaving.

Was that a bug, is it normal for an area to go from 91% to 1% in a matter of 10 seconds, and then 5 seconds later to 25% for enemy?

1. The only disadvantage is becoming an elder wolf. (8+ yrs.) Once your wolf reaches this age, you’ll receive a -1 debuff to all stats; staying 7 (or younger) is the more viable option. You are also stuck with the perks you choose at age 8 until your wolf passes away.

2. Right now, your pups are completely dependent on you until the end of the game. They are unable to leave the den/rendezvous site(unless nomadic, if they do stray too far, they become lost.) The yearling/past two months episode is currently in progress, but it will be some time before that comes out.

3. That’s what I do as well, aging up to age 4 will give you the option to choose the “territorial might” perk, which is my favorite perk due to your territory decaying much slower and howling boosting all hexes. (Although this will not prevent you from losing hexes to other wolves!)

And yes, this is common. Although you might’ve not seen the wolves, there was probably a large group. Unless if you couldn’t see them howling on the compass, they were invading/hunted something.
It might’ve been a bug if there was no trace of wolves, but it’s uncommon.

1. Aging has no disadvantage untill you hit 8 years old. At that point you have -1 on all stats

2. Grown up pups arent a thing just yet. Check out their channel and this video https://youtu.be/dx-X2fL-3oE for some info on that

3, Did you go to sleep? Cuz your territory doesn't just vanish like that. 91% to 1% isnt normal even if there are rivals in your territory so that might be a bug

Hope that helped

1. There is no negative effect to ageing, initially. However, once you've reached 8 years old, your wolf will become an Elder Wolf. They will lose 1 point in every attribute and will eventually die. You won't be able to play as them in Multiplayer anymore and you will also be limited to one single save file.

2. Currently, your pups cannot grow up to become a yearling nor an adult over time. This will be implemented later, when the WolfQuest Saga will be released (there is no release date at the moment).

However, once you'll have completed all missions in Slough Creek, you'll be able to immediately age up your pups to adulthood (via the family tree in the "My Wolves" menu) and play as them to start a new pack of their own.

3. The strength of your hexes do not necessarily keep stranger wolves away (at least, not all the time), as they'll still wander within your territory regardless of the percentage of your hexes. They'll sometimes try to take your hexes the same way you take theirs.

I have seen hexes go down incredibly fast before, it means a wolf or wolves are actively trying to steal it rather than just passing through/chilling/hunting. I've had it happen overnight three times where a well marked (over 70% at least) hex has been completely taken over and is now a 90% hex of the enemy. It's not common, but it does happen.

I have also had the same issue of phantom wolves before, but almost always you will find the tracks eventually. If a hex is actively going down while you're in it however, but you're sure you cannot find any tracks or wolves anywhere, f11 and report it.
