How to court pack wolves?
I’ve managed to find a female (my wolf is male) from another pack alone and no matter what I did the game didn’t let me court her. I’ve already completed the first quest. After trying not to fight her I decided to fight her until she didn’t want to fight to see if I could court her then and she ran off. Does anyone know how court a pack wolf? Cuz I’d really like to have a pack wolf as a mate since my other wolves have normal dispersals.

I've been wondering that as well! I was thinking maybe you try to use emotes? Maybe it can somehow calm down the stranger enough that you can convince them?

I forgot to edit my op, but I found out how.
I went to sleep in the Lamar Canyon territory by the stream and awoke to two pack wolves: one of them was a female with the dispersal heart above her and another was another female who just wanted to fight. So I don’t think you can choose a wolf, it’s just random and you’ve gotta keep sleeping in other territories until you find one. I fought off that wolf and am currently finishing off courting the other one.

I don't think you can fight wolves you can court. It will tell you the details of the a potential mate (age, diversity rating, woo meter). It's possible that maybe you encountered a wolf, that although the right gender, was not a dispersal npc and just a patrol wolf.

Yeah, if a pack wolf is willing to leave their pack for you, you won't see a fight or flight meter at all. They will come to you with the same mechanics as any old dispersal wolf, just with their pack name in place of the random dispersal ones.
This is an old thread, but just in case someone comes across this still; I've had groups of female dispersals come close and not trigger the pop-up in which case they would just show the fight-flight meter and act like your usual patrol. Running out of range and approaching them again fixed it for me usually, and once it shows the mating pop-up they will also show their heart meter and diversity etc.
