Den problems?

I've had the hardest time finding dens. I finally found a dirt den, but it won't give me an option to make it usable (from what I can tell). Is there something I'm missing????

Well, you're supposed to have 15 hexes above 50 percent. So that's probably why.

You can find dens before you have all 15 hexes, and it should mark them on your map. If this isn't happening, it might be bugged.

What do you mean by "make usable"? If you mean dig it out, you can't do that until you have 15 hexes of territory

You need 15 hexes of territory that are "strong" (above 50% claim) as well as 4 dens located before you can choose a den.

To make it even easier for you there is this site that i use where all the dens are revealed:

i've been using it a lot and it's completely safe.

One of the steam guides on here has individual pictures of the dens as well as their map locations, so you can pair them together to find them if one version of the map isn't very helpful.

You probably have enough information, but you need to have 15 hexes of territory above 50% AND 4 (or 3, I forget.) dens marked. After that, you may choose a den and settle in. I suggest a den in the middle of your territory.

Another tip: if you're having trouble finding dens, turn down your graphics to the lowest settings. All kinds of dens stand out immediately (especially dirt dens)

If you're in a "den nearby" area, sometimes you can see scent markings for the den while in Scent View, so try doing that when you're in an area that makes the "den nearby" icon show up.

I found 3 dens and had 20 hexes. I didn't realize I had to go into the journal to set up the den site. Thank you guys for the help!! I was able to find more dens thanks to y'all <3
