Play the whole family?
I don't own the game yet, definitely have it wishlisted and followed, but was wondering if you are able to control the pups as they grow as well as both parents?

Yes and no!

Whilst you are raising the pups, you can only play as yourself, but once they're raised (you complete the game / endless summer is available) you may play the two year old version of them in your wolf's family tree so they can start their own life and pack!

In the future with the Towerfall DLC (where you can see your pups grow into adults and you teach them to hunt), I assume it will be the same where you can only play as yourself until they grow , aka, be like a normal wolf safe :)

Hope that makes sense and I helped!

You can't control the pups directly, you can only interact with them by means of wolf communication, and picking them up and feeding them. However, once your pups reach 20 pounds, they are added to your Wolf's family tree. From there you can grow each pup to an adult and play a new game with them.

Plus you can't control your mate either. Just you.

You can see from the pup's perspective by pressing SHIFT-F, and you can ask your mate to follow you/stay at the den. You can also play with your mate and your pups. It's not the same, but it is definitely interactive.

Interesting. It would be cool to play a new game with a grown pup, but even cooler if you could switch between family members that are adult wolves.

They might do that in the Tower Fall DLC. It will probably be a long time before we know, since they said it won't be out until at least after 2022.
