The devs are working on more optimization but in the end it's most likely your average lagspike causing the game to disregard your input, and there's not a whole lot the devs can do about it if you're running a low-end rig.
If you're running the game and don't really drop below 20 FPS at any given time, then that may be an issue with the game. But again, the devs are already working on it.
It’s not a lag issue. I know lag when I see it. The character just doesn’t respond at all until I’ve spammed the button quite a lot of times. I barely get lag on this game. I used to play it on Fast settings no problem, but since the update where it automatically selects your graphics I’ve been playing on custom Fastest. My laptop is quite old, but it’s been able to handle and play games like Skyrim (both original and the remastered) and Garry’s Mod without problem or with occasional lag. Both games mentioned have some double tapping involved at times and they’ve always worked fine and responded almost immediately. But on this they don’t respond at all and I have to keep pressing the button multiple times. Even if it was lag and my computer’s fault it should respond on the at least the third try though rarely does it respond on the third time.
