Ending Discussion (Spoilers Obviously)

So what ending did you all get? (Only took me like 10 hours to beat on normal)

My squad blew up the Dam (sacrificed King) then went out over the Mountains instead of waiting for Rescue, the ending was just a huge cliffhanger. We scared off the civilians before blowing it up so most survived, but apparently the squad was infected... The End.

Going to replay it once again perhaps, but I hope the rest of the endings aren't just huge cliffhangers.

Ending:
Blew Up Dam (Lost Fry)
Didn't evacuate civilians.
Held out for a plane to pick me up. Evidently I got enough kills to do so after dambust.

Was also a cliffhanger as the squad wasn't sure if they deserved to go home after what they did, and theres the implication a bunch of my troops were infected by the end. (What IS that stuff?)

So far only 2 ending, Blow up the dam but did not tell the civilians.(woops)
and the one were I did not blow it up but waited for the plane. I finished a 3rd time but saw no differences. I have no idea how to get the other ending. I got the petroleum but don't know what to do with it.

For me there was a mission a choice in the middle of the map to either get Booze, get Fuel or get more Explosives (in case you used them on the radio tower)

Then on the last mission choice before the Dam mission, gave me the option of stealing a Truck or Warning the Civilians... I assume if you get the Fuel and get the Truck you escape via the Truck afterwards.

After a bit of research you need to blow up the dam if you want to steal the truck with petroleum.

Blew up the dam, sacrificed Conner.

Tried to warn the civilians, but they refused to leave, so despite never killing a civilian during the whole campaign, I ended up at the end with something like 580 civilian casualties... reminded me of Spec Ops : the line.

Waited for the rescue plane, and made it back to safety.

Overall I liked the game, but I would have appreciated a little bit more answers. Was destroying the dam the squad's real mission? Who were the masked guys and what did they really tried to do? And was all squad members infected and condemned no matter what?

I had only one ending

Didn't blew up the dam, so i had to choose, leave by foot (And i did) or defend (Wich is the worst ending, where everyone dies)

Along the way, I lost Wood (restarted so much, couldn't save him, lost too much composure)

Because my composure was so low, i had to take the booze instead of the fuel and the explosives.

I have some questions tho:

Who the ♥♥♥♥ are those East Europeans Nazis?

What was the experiment?

Where are we?

And at some point, Sherman was at like... 7% of composure? At the first checkpoint of the damn, i had a little talking moment where Sherman said: Something is moving in the water... It's calling me... I am coming Great One.... Ghal'dak ramek'il (or something like that) and then he almost get shot and wakes up.

Did I found a old god easter egg ot is the experiemnt a hidden purpose?

leave the damn alone
Try to warn the civilian and then leaving them alone
wait for the plane (didn't work)
go into the mountain for a uncertain fate

I've noticed that your soldiers look healthy when their composure is high and as their composure gets lower and lower they begin looking progressively more messed up and "infected". Does anyone know if your soldiers' composure affects the endings? For example, do you get the warning about possibly carrying infection away if your composure is all high? Or does something bad happen if its all low?

Right now the only thing I'm sure affects endings are specific mission choices like "did I get petrol to fuel an escape truck", "did I get explosives to blow up the dam", or "did I kill enough enemies to survive waiting for rescue".

I'm almost sure I had all the endings, but I didn't get the achievement.

I blew-up the dam with civilian casualties, blew-up the dam without civilian casualties, I did not blow-up the dam, I escaped by plane, escaped by truck, escaped by foot, I failed to escape and got surrounded by facelesses. I watched the video on YouTube with All 5 endings and I had all of them. I don't know what am I missing....

- fly away
- drive away
- walk away
- get surrounded by faceless
- get surrounded by civilians

Sounds to me like you're missing the last one.

Really enjoyed the game, the first ending for me was that I got surrounded, I did warn the civilians but didn't blow up the dam.

As for where it is, from the way they sound & dress they are odd to be Slavic (No Poland could be Finland or Russia).

I think the easter egg of this being a failed experiment is inspired by the story (Myth maybe) of the Russian making zombies (the one with no sleep for a month with the prisoners).

Is there going to be a continuation to the story in any sort though ?.

You're right, thanks. For some reason I thought there are only 5 endings.
