How to increase paperwork?

I already have a residence, bank account and library card but I was arrested a few times and now it's too low to get any job, Is there anyway to increase it further without working?

You should still be able to get/apply for the street cleaner and daily issue jobs, they have a paperwork requirement of 30 and 10 respectively.

However, looking at this has led me to a bug, the paperwork amounts displayed in the tooltip are lower than what the game is actually calculating, I'll have new patch out later today. :)

Does each Area only have certain jobs? Idk if it is a bug or intentional but I keep running into places that only have jobs requiring high paperwork and I at least need the job requiring 10 paperwork. I've been on my current run for at least 6 hrs.

Hmm... seems like to might be a abit of bad luck, regardless, I'm gonna add some failsafes in the code so that certain jobs can't repeat as much. :)

I only get jobs that want very high paperwork as well, ontop of having a criminal record can make it literally impossible to advance. Everything is very contingent on not committing any crime and having resident status, but a bad run with police can lead to an unwinnible game it seems.

Hmm, this is a good point actually, I'll tweak which jobs are more likely to show up when your paperwork is low

No, study is a seperate stat that works with the paperwork stat to increase wages as well as job success. Though a library card does!

its not really clear how you increase paperwork. can't there be a more detailed guide? ive been playing for 2 days now and i still dont know how to reach paperwork to 100. i have all the cards, and had a job.

The job assistance charity event, applying for jobs (even if you don't succeed), gaining jobs, days worked in jobs, and if you have the expansion there are various options at the welfare office (housing assistance will reduce paperwork requirements for rent).

Currently having a job also increases paperwork, so it can be a good idea to get the daily issue job and have that going while applying for better jobs.
