What's the solution to the uppermost flowerpot puzzle in Tadpole Inc?

After the impossible to find message and impossible to finish without rng volleyball game got patched I decided to give this game another chance; and this awful "puzzle" has made me regret playing this game yet again.

I've examined and tested every flower in each section of the grid that needs a specific flower to be possible and all of them result in another section of the grid becoming impossible to fill regardless of where the spare flower pot is placed. The blue flowers need to be used to fill up most of the space along the long sections of the grid yet they always end up cutting off the second blue flower from filling up the required space. And not using the blue flowers in this way always results in the yellow flower not being able to fill the remainder; and there's basically only one place the yellow flower can go since no other flowers can fill it.

I've found at least four different near-solutions which all require two single space flowers to complete it, but you only get one. And given the developers track record I wouldn't be surprised if you need two single space flowers and they just forgot to add the second one in.

Like with some of the other puzzles in the game, there are a number of 'near' solutions, but it is indeed solvable. Iirc the solution was actually pretty straightforward.

Blocking the blue + shaped flowers is something the puzzle just below it teaches you about, but the last one at toadpole is the biggest version of it in the game. The mechanic is expanded on in the Public Pool version which unlocks after you grab the contact list at Toadpole. The puzzles at the pool also have frogs to give you hints in-game if you're feeling a little stuck.
