why are people so butthurt about what they are called, people have right to call them that. might i add, a furry is a term for anthropomorphic animal, say for example, sly cooper

They're furries. Clear, the artist, does furry commissions on their twitter. It's not exactly a secret.

I'm actually curious though, are these characters all original for the game, or are some of them people's OCs? Some of the designs are busy enough that I get the feeling they're cameos.
