Serenia playing tag with the wind spirit

From 2009 to early 2018 I always got the Wind guide, and never had to search for a guide more than 2 attempts. I only played Rev 1 maybe 2 times a yr so I made a map of the 3 altars and the 3 offering trees with the specific 4 click route to each altar.

Early 2018 Frankie 4 died (win 7 build) and wasn't able to play Rev with Frankie 5 (win 10) till I picked it up from steam in late 2019, so I hadn't played in 2 + yrs.

Late last yr the 1st run on the steam version I got the Water guide YAY!!! Don't know why, I play through it the same way always. The 2nd run through the game I had the Wind guide and the same for the next 2 runs and don't know why that is. Today's run, again old trusty Wind but this time I'm playing Hide N Seek with it for about an hour.

Every time I went by a Wind altar without an offering, (coming from the wrong direction) it was there. And because the wind sound and altar are hidden when approaching from an altar's offering tree (with offering) the altar was always empty. I quit hour did some junk, started again and the same crap, I was beginning to think I had a glitch or a save error. 4 more laps through the stone trees, (yes using the guide map) and I eventually bagged a spirit.

WTH!?!?!?
