It can be frustrating but also very satisfying, as it is with virtually any of the puzzles in Cyan's games. They did attempt new ways with MOUL though.
The only 2 games i think Cyan might be able to remake without too much of a headache are End of Ages and Uru, but even EoA i think was published by Ubisoft, so they might still have some rights over it.
All that being said though, personally, i'm much more interested i the prospect of them making a whole new original game set in the "D'ni-verse".
Eric, the Creative Director at Cyan, said he was eager to develop new games in that multiverse and that not doing anything with the series would be akin to having the rights to Star Wars and not making anything with it.
