Why are the bots in this game stupid?
Like they only follow the player who is rushing ahead. If I go down alone then they won't even bother coming back to help me. I like to explore the game and not speed run it like these random idiots that join my game. I was so infuriated last game that I controlled a bot and killed that non-english speaking player who joined me. :lunar2019madpig:

Bots follow the player who is closest to quest objective.

Well, you don't look smarter if you teamkilling people (who won't or can't speak your language) and if you need help from bots (who are actually very strong and literally carry you). You're probably playing on "Veteran", but of course your profile is private. Just learn how to play and don't be an idiot yourself. :steamsalty:

The more I play the game, the more I find out why there was so many people hating on this game. You say learn how to play the game? No matter how good your are if you go down alone, I bet my balls you will also die like an idiot.

I have to partially agree on that...there is some misconfiguration around here. Imagine the situations where the closer-to-objective player/s are 1-2 rush-aheads and the player who is behind, just joined and desperately trying to grab some adequate loadout, get surrounded by a megatone of Ridden alone and it's a R.I.P. They could just create objective markers and key and configure bot(s) to never leave a player alone.

On the other side, teamkilling is never honorable... and neither are players than know zero English but decide to just join random games or was already here but wasn't even thinking about possible joining speedrunners till this moment. Nobody has to know your Russian, Italian, Spanish or whatsoever, but you DO need to know some English when putting yourself into randoms. Anyways, the Evangelo fastlegs era seems to be partially fading away, so B4B online NH is now better than before.
It sounds like the problem is with the random idiots who are purposefully leaving you behind, and not the bots who are supporting the mission objective.

This is a bit of a game of words.
I haven't played the L4D games for very long, but I still recall of this particular feature being configured a bit better and a Bill or another bot accompanying me most of the time in similar situations.
But yes, randoms have to be a bit more careful about the rush-to-objective behaviours and stuff. However, how are we supposed to teach every single member of a community proper manners?

The bots are not at fault here. They teleport randomly. It's always been a thing. It's either you are not with the team or the team isn't with you.

The fewer teamkillers, trolls idiots and dota players play the game, the better for the game.

Yeah? You have to learn any game if you want to get better. Right? If you're stuck on "Veteran" and can't carry noobs on that level, then you're the same noob.

I play quick matches with randoms every day on "No Hope". And no, I don't die like an idiot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No, I don't kill my teammates and then brag about it on the forum. Yes, I successfully complete almost all acts with randoms on "No Hope." Yes, I can carry randoms and I like to be part of a team. During the game, I can calmly listen to music in the background and say nothing in the game, just use the mark system and sometimes write "please ammo" in the chat (at least one of the three players always reacts). I also know how to ask for ammo in German, French and Russian. And you?

I want to note that on higher difficulties there are more experienced players, and on lower difficulties there are more newbies like you who are still learning the game. This is absolutely normal. I don't know what did you expect from random games with random players without any ranked system or something. No one will follow you like bots and play the way you want. If you don't like people joining you, make the game private, or make some friends, you know. This is a better way to enjoy any co-op game than playing with bots or randoms.

Because people would abuse it and kick everyone for no reason (like in L4D).
I still think the reason why you can't kick people is because it would hurt peoples' feelings and not something logical like the feature being abused.
I think its just because this game didnt get polished enough
kick options are standard
Also, just want to throw this out there because I ran into the situation myself with a downed bot. Some mission levels have areas where, once past, you can’t go back. So if a teammate gets stuck and the rest of your team is beyond a cutoff point, it seems (based on my single player experience) even the bots won’t warp back to rescue anyone.

Poor Sharice had to bleed out and get rescued later. Pour one on the curb.
Eh, yes, a kick option would be nice at times. But yes, since the game was aimed at the L4D community (unfortunately...), there has been a high risk that there would be child abuse of the kick/ban options. Nowadays this risk is much lower and even if kick/ban was implemented like in L4D now, it would be almost 100% safe as in many other games, like in Sanctum 2.

In fact, even back in time they could do the following thing: Only the Host to be able to start a kick/ban vote, and then the team to approve it together. At least that... Luckily, if you are host, you can sacrify a Hell can wait card and abandon a game to be able to continue it adequately later. Although I've never had interest in doing so when I host.
