Developers and these games...

I've fallen for the "From the makers of Left 4 Dead" twice now, not again.

I'll admit it, I loved Evolve and I loved Back for Blood.

My problem is that TWICE the developers "From Left 4 Dead" will release a game with questionable quality, spend one... maybe two years bringing the game we should of had at launch then abandon the game entirely after they realize they aren't breaking the bank.

Evolve on console was a blast, you can @me on that, and I'm still angry I never got to try stage 2 on PC. (Yeah, I didn't even get to play the supposedly better version.) I'm sure, In a few years time Back 4 Blood will be delisted all the same and that pisses me off. Because, instead of building on any kind loyal fan base, of which Left 4 Dead will almost certainly always have, they abandoned another game... again, and that comes off as a cash grab.

Now that Back 4 Blood is what I would consider a decent quality game, it's never going to have new content. Maybe a balance patch, if we're lucky. That's what pisses me off. The same thing with Evolve. No new content on what are 'now' respectable titles.

Well hats off to the developers here, because I will never buy a "From the makers of Left 4 Dead" title again.

I think I still could buy their stuff but will never touch it to play. Just to throw them some money.

tbf in evolve's case it wasn't even TRS's fault. the publisher, 2K, decided to just ♥♥♥♥ over the game and shut it down early, not letting TRS do more with it after stage 2

in fact they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the game twice, they reopened the servers for a short time a few years back for some reason then shut it down again within a month or two despite the resurgence in players due to it being available to play again
