If you want a light hearted fun yet still challenging game, go for Deep Rock Galactic. You won't regret it I can promise you that. Don't be dettered by the childish graphics, the game is awesome.
If you want dark souls in FPS and with guns and stealth mechanics, go for GTFO.

I tried this one recently myself, but dealing with yet another game with random AI/balance headaches acted a bit tiring on me.

GTFO's balance is garbage, although mods and coop with vets can help. The monsters there are still fun.

Gears 5 seems promising...it, however, has some performance issues to overcome.
