Back 4 Blood

Is PVP still not possible with campaign mode?
Short question, does this game finally have campaign mode pvp like l4d or still not?

Mutation spawns broken. Players complained. Devs fixed it. Trauma broken. Players complained. Devs fixed it. Ghost bullets was a major bug. Players complained. Devs fixed it. Walker and Jim perks useless. Players complained. Devs fixed it.

B4B community: Ahh useless to say anything because devs don't listen to community anyway.

Just because the devs don't do what YOU want in particular, doesn't mean they don't listen.

Devs said no campaign PVP since launch.
To this day even after devs have left to work on the next game, y'all STILL complaining about campaign PVP. Who're the ones not listening? Lmao. This community is a complete joke.

Well clearly something went wrong considering the lack of players and support from the devs.
Whatever. Not like the very state of this games proves anything, right?
Guess the devs did everything right after all.

Is that how your brain works? It's 100% perfect or 0% meaning they did nothing and are pathetic?

Game's not perfect, but it's still fun, and that's thanks to the devs that have been listening and fixing MOST of the major issues players were having. This community is a joke because they all think like you. It's not 100% what you want, no PvP campaign so yup devs deserve 0 credit for any work they've done, they've done absolutely nothing, dead game.

Lack of players can have many different things factoring into it. L4D is only on PC-steam now. B4B is on multiple stores on PC and on consoles. That and the price difference, and that people have different preferences on games, evidently. Support-wise, like I said, they've done more than most developers have. Not many other developers give you a roadmap, a trello board to keep track of progress, takes part in the community to get feedback on major issues, and fixes them. But no campaign PvP, so nah 0 credit to them boys, it's all aboard the blind hate train.

You should get into sports one day. That jump to conclusions you just did right there was amazing.

No. I do not think they did nothing nor do I think they are pathetic.
I am saying they could have done more and actually do important stuff. What you mentioned was them fixing broken stuff. Like, duh, have we now reached a point where something like that deserves applaus?

Yes, they fixed broken ♥♥♥♥. Congratulations devs, what a goob job! Fixing stuff that was clearly broken but still released like that, wow! Amazing!
Now what about actual feedback to make the game last longer, be more fun, have more variiety etc? What about that? Oh, what? You can't? Okay then.

Seriously, PvP has been abandoned from the very beginning. An entire part of the community has been ♥♥♥♥ on and you guys defend that like they did something crazy good. They did not. I am not asking for PvP campaign (OP is but in none of my comments have I been asking for that) and I know very well that this wouldn't even work all that well in this game.
I am saying fix the PvP mode that does exist. Literally do anything with it. Anything. It'S already there, most of the work has been done. Do something.
As it is right now they wasted money, time and manpower on something completely irrelevant. Irrelevant because of them. And people have been asking about that ever since this game released.

Sure, some people are way too entitled here and are straight up demanding ♥♥♥♥ left and right but that is the tiny minority.

Yeah you are way too hung up on the whole PvP campaign thing here. Nobody here is actively hating on them for that. There are tons of other issues that have never been adressed.

Yes, they did the bare-minimum of fixing things that shouldn'T have been broken to begin with. Sorry but I am not gonna praise them for that. I am also not gonna praise them for giving us paid DLC which was advertised from the very beginning. Nobody should.

Games release with bugs, all games do. You gonna jump on every forum and say the devs don't deserve credit for fixing things for every game? I'm not saying praise them like they've done plenty, but at the very least give them credit where it's due, which is something the B4B community doesn't ever do. Instead they bring up the same old points "no PvP campaign", "no more support", "game still broken".

Feedback to make the game last longer and have more variety? That happened big time in December and after. The whole huge nerf to melee, the trauma change that was then reverted because the community hated it, the nerf to speedrunning so not everyone and their mom were just gonna sprint from saferoom to saferoom, the fixes for mutation spawns, adjustments to guaranteed damage sources like from spitters that made the game way more annoying than it was, and eventually the adjustment of difficulty to make things more fun and accessible with the addition of the 15 cards from the get-go, increase to supply point earning rates and bonuses to ease the grind, all of those things made the game much more fun and accessible.

Something cannot be "abandoned" if it was never part of the plan in the first place. Sure they "abandoned" Swarm mode and it's still unbalanced af, but I'm pretty sure there was a post somewhere that said they might work on it but it's not a priority because there's just not enough players to make it a priority, there were other more important issues, and I think they made the right move there. I'd rather campaign be smooth and fun than have a mediocre PvP game mode that a small minority would enjoy, and a campaign mode that's still broken.

Tl;dr I'm just saying, give credit where credit is due, this game could've been left in the November state and truly be dead, but it's come a long way since then. Even if people don't want to praise them for things they did, at least acknowledge that work had been done lmao. The amount of people saying "they don't listen" when they have is ridiculous.

Only a small number of players would actually play it in comparison to how many players play PvE so it wouldn’t be worth the effort.
True. E.g. I don't give a milled coin 'bout PvP. Nobody 's had to make a PvP, it isn't a must, it is just a dev.'s choice. So not having a desired PvP would make s. ppl throw so much negative talking...?
This one here thread made me bring one addition to my block list. Subscription to the topic's not worth it.

Knee eredeti hozzászólása:
So them not listening to people who wanted PvP is perfectly reasonable to me. I am content with what B4B is now even if it's not made for everyone in mind (and not every game has to be).
Yes. Looks like a real part of the 32-34% of negative reviews actually might not deserve any attention. Yet everyone has opinion, OK, but one like that of this thread's creator.............

White Defender eredeti hozzászólása:
The pvp tag on the store page should just be removed at this point.
Not quite. One achievement's still there - win a PvP (Swarm), some in-game things, too. Looks like just another game I won't 100%. Np.

Nah, I am never gonna give credit for any of this. Bug fixing and stuff comes with the job. It's something that should happen. It's not something people should be amazed by.

And you should stop talking about the community as a whole since what you see here is only the minority of people. The other part either left or is just playing the game (and from the numbers the majority left a long time ago).

If the game is still broken to some they have every right to voice their disappointment here. Them fixing some other bugs is not gonna help those people in any way.

To you. Sure.
I could bring up the numbers and reviews again but I feel like you already got the point back when I first mentioned it.
Also these were "fixes", "adjustments" and other stuff like that.
I meant actually making the game last longer and have it have more varriety.
As in more gamemodes, especially more stuff with PvP and, the most important one, mod support. Free maps, campaigns, animations, models. Basically endless replayablity for nothing.
You know, things people have been asking for since the beta.

Now I am in no way saying they didn't do ♥♥♥♥. They did do something. But what they did was not even remotely enough to make the game have a higher replayability and longevity. As is evident.

That doesn't even make any sense. It's in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Doesn't matter if that was their initial plan or not, it's there. They advertised this game with PvP. Some people bought it for PvP and they IMMEDIATELY abandoned it.
It's pretty obvious that they never intended to do anything with it in the first place.
My guess? They implemented it to collect money from the PvP crowd.
Just by looking at swarm you will see they half-assed it right before release.

They could have easily focused on both things but hey, they can't sell you PvP-fixes now, can they? So of course they will focus on DLC content first. Money, money, money.

There is no defending them abandoning an entire part of their game and ingoring an entire part of their community that counted on them. Like, how can anyone respect them in any way when they can easily do something like that?
What if they create a new game and this time they abandone the part that you enjoy. Then what?

Well to a lot of people they didn't actually listen (PvP crowd for example).

None of this is gonna change anything anyway. The game is "done". Nothing is gonna change now.
No, but The Anacruise is made by people who also worked on L4D and they just added modding support and are about to add campaign PVP. Which they then teased that players will be able to make their own modded game modes after campaign PVP is out.
I don't think you want people to play Anacruise because that's the second time I see you misspelling that name

The problem was that devs were fixing bugs they created with each and every patch. The state of the game as a whole wasn't changing; for ten fixed bugs, ten new were introduced. And they were ridiculously slow with fixing them. A perfect example of this were servers which were laggy as f*ck and only in last December they finally decided to fix them. 14 MONTHS AFTER THE RELEASE! What the actual f*ck?!

All in all, this game was in perpetual beta, because devs were too busy fixing their own sh*t throughout the entire development period. The game was never fixed and was always filled with plethora of major issues. The current (and last) version of the game is no different.
