Also both teams released unfinished games, again what do you mean?
As of now, Darktide has only gotten better with each patch as changes to balance and progression have become drastically more improved (although there's still a lot to do). B4B on the other hand has ended its development with infinite stamina and The Grim Reaper attachment blatantly breaking the balance of the game even at the highest difficulty.
Can't exactly say they added content? Crafting is in for what it is worth
Not sure what they added; haven't played since release but been thinking about going back
Back when I played the Darktide beta I've only played VT1, it felt good and new. Then I finally played VT2 and saw just how much they copy pasted from that game. It's kinda funny tbh, Darktide being mixed as well as being the supposed "B4B killer" some people here claimed.
Whatever it's problems, I hope they fix it. Felt fun to play at least. Hopefully it doesn't take them too long. Judging from VT2 it would probably be way too late for current gamers and looking at VT2 the game has had a consistent less than 7k players for years. The game is niche at best and probably wont garner enough of a playerbase. Unless they put mods so you can put your favorite anime waifus looking like Skyrim modded waifus into the game. I know of a certain zombie fanbase that would love that.
VT2 at least has feet now. Soon it wont be enough and they would demand more. It seems people don't care about games anymore but to mod irrelevant things into games. Reminds me of that new Harry Potter game, of course the modding community would put Shrek and Thomas.
It's sad what the gaming industry has become, and I mean every aspect of it. From the devs to the players.
Mods are the bridge that can gap those unrealistic expectations and garner more success to a title. It's kinda funny that you disregard a modding community filled with thousands of varying mods, throwing it all into anime and waifus, but I suppose you've not searched the L4D workshop for anything but that, being the same as the degenerates you bash so much.
You also really hate L4D, but with Skyrim you wouldn't say the community is filled with people who make nude mods, since that's somehow not the same thing to you. It's correct too, Skyrim is filled with tons of mods that improve realism and many other things, yet.. same can be said for L4D, guess you've not broadened your search terms yet.
But yeah, you're convinced you're right. I hope these games can prove you right and never get mod support, it'll definitely go well for them.
Tell me what is this gap you're talking about. There is nothing innovative or different. You're acting as if the L4D2 community was actually doing something worthwhile and ground breaking. You know the average L4D2 player isn't going to install these things, they go straight to the nonsense because "Oh look I can play as the teletubbies, Terry Crews Tank? Oh wow Shrek Tank, hehehe it's all ogre now. Wow this game sure is amazing"
Well, I guess you've not broadened your search terms with Skyrim then lol, we can always go both ways (Not that you need to actually broaden a search for Skyrim because most popular mods are not NSFW, anime, stolen skins related. More like you should search first before assuming.). Considering there's tons of mods that change the gameplay, add in new NPC's with actual voice acting, new immersive skills, complete game overhauls, immersive armors, improved anything about the game and make it look next gen. I could really go on lol, the Skyrim modding community is actually one that has outdone itself and can make Skyrim look, feel, play different.
Right now you can look at Skyrims top 100 mods, no stolen skins, no anime, no NSFW content (Maybe 1 if any). It's not the same. Skyrim mods make L4D2 mods look like kids playing with legos.
Point is both games have mods that drastically alter gameplay. Yes there are nsfw, you focus on that for L4D but not for Skyrim, because you are biased, yet love pointing out others' bias. What you typed is a thin joke.
Yes Skyrim has NSFW mods, my point is go look at whats popular for both games. You will see L4D2 popular mods are low quality compared to Skyrim. L4D2 most popular mods are filled with anime stuff and recreating memes into the game. Skyrim most popular mods offer actual quality. You will not see NSFW, anime or meme stuff even in the top 200 mods (In fact I did even more searching, not even top 400 mods and I'm sure it will take a while), however in L4D2 you will see memes and anime stuff in the very first two pages lol.
You're trying to advocate about how good mods are in L4D2 and yet the modding community and the fanbase there only cares about meaningless stuff. Finding a good mod in L4D2 is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Are you still missing the point?
Nope, your searching wrong, its the all the time most popular mods, not the "Within a week" mods for L4D2. Besides L4D and Skyrim: Apples to Oranges.
