It doesn't eat up a card slot, it's additional. But make sure to select a burn card before your last pick of that round because it will lock you out once you do
Edit : nevermind forgot you can just press B to select your burn card if you haven't
It's RNG obviously but I think it gives you a white weapon at the start of the ACT and after first checkpoint you start getting green weapons. I didn't test this so I don't know the consistency but that's what happened when I tried to get a gun by burners.
There are some very good ones. I think I saw one that gives everyone on the team the ability to break out of grabs and lowers the cooldown.
Actually I have a question about this. Does Mercenary stack? Does this mean if you have 4 mercenary burners on, everyone gets 2k gold (assuming they maxed the kills)
on continue: card effect disappears, can't pick a second burner on the same saferoom after continues
card slots: burner cards are not a pick, you can pick them after completin your picks by press B on keyboard or Y/Triangle on controller at the screen where it shows all your current cards after doing your pick
when they add new stuff they will probably just shuffle it in between burn cards like they did with the christmas stuff.
