buy on Steam or Epic Games Store?
Does it really matter wether you purchase this game on Steam or Epic Games Store? Like, if you purchase it on Steam, does it still run through Epic Games or?
And can you play with friends on PC regardless of one or more of your friends bought it on steam or epic games?
anyone know anything about this?

You can still play with friends, but since the friends lists are unique to each platform it might be a PITA to join their games. That and the Epic Games Store seems to be going downhill and in just a few years might disappear along with any games you bought there.

Not sure what you mean about if you purchase through Steam, will it still run through Epic. You will run the game through whichever launcher you bought it on, and only on there. If you have it on Steam, you can't run it on Epic, or vice versa.

The game does have full crossplay however, and yes you can play with anyone on any platform, from any platform, provided you have the in game cross play features enabled.

It may be more rough to arrange and group up with people across other platforms though. I mean, I'm sure it can be done, but if you all have it on the same place, it will be easier to group up.

Short answer though is yes, you can play it with anyone on any platform.

No idea where you pulled this from, other than perhaps wishful thinking. Beware of your biases.

Crossplay has to be enabled (in-game option) so Steam + Epic + Xbox + Playstation players can play together, otherwise everyone will only connect onto servers with players from their current platform.

The game has an in-game friendlist through "Social" so you can add your friends through their in-game name ex. "FriendsName#0000", you can add console players too.

Well this is the Steam forum after all. Expect EGS to be sh*t-talked around the clock.

When it comes to Steam vs Epic, always pick Steam, so yeah, buy it on Steam, boeh!

I try to minimize the amount of money that I contribute to Gaben's McDonald's fund, so I would personally say Epic.

If they are priced the same, i would agree. But it's £20 on epic and the sale price on steam was £35. It's a no brainer unless you like wasting money.

what i mean is if you purchase it on Steam, will it open and play via Steam? or will it bring up the Epic Games launcher and ask you to login there in order to play it? does that make sense?

Ive experienced a familiar issue when i bought Assassins Creed Rogue on Stea, everytime i want to play the game, it opens up the Ubisoft Connect application and ask me to login there and then run the game trough Ubisoft when pressing the play button on Steam :P
And no i havnt purchased the game on Ubisoft Connect and then added the game to the Steam library :P

So in short, iam wondering if there would be any similiarity with what i experienced with Assassins Creed Rogue with Back 4 Blood essentially :)?

Nope, it doesn't really matter. You'll be able to play with everyone either way and the game uses just the launcher you choose.

OHH I see. No the game doesn't have any kind of separate launcher. It's independent on every platform, where you just run it on said platform, and it goes straight into the game without any hassles.

Now that they are owned by Tencent, who own 40% of EPIC games, don't be surprised when this game is pulled off Steam in the coming months.
Dont buy
