Should I get this game?

I saw that it was down 75% off $60, which is a hilariously bad sign. I understand that the game is dead, but is there any point in playing it single player? Does it support mods?

It is still online. It is best to play with friends. Quickplay is hardest mode in this game (randoms joining)

Checking in too. Games with crossplay are never dead btw. Coming from fighting games myself. Just cause it's got 1100 on steam doesn't mean that xbox and PS4/5 aren't thriving.

The game ain't dead. Steam players are not the only players since the game has cross play. You can join lobbys fairly quickly, and the the game, despite L4D2 fanboys bad reviews, the game has come a long way and dlcs are very good and the game as a whole (base game) is great. No crashes no lag no nothing in my 35+ hours of gameplay. I prefer this game over L4D2 any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Sadly it doesn't support mods, but it doesn't mean it won't someday.

I totally love the gameplay. Very modern and very fun. At the end of the day is your money so waste it on whatever you want :) the game is on sale and it's a fair price. I doubt you'll regret it.

Deluxe edition for 22$ is a good deal, but the longevity of the game is definitely compromised considering support has ended. If you just want to play through a few times and see what it's like before moving on you're better off playing on Gamepass, but otherwise 22$ for the base game + all its DLC is pretty good.

as someone who actualy owns (as you can see mouse cursor next to my nick) and played the game I can tell you the ultimate edition for this price is absolutely worth it - you will definetely get your money worth if you pay 25% of what they intialy ask

Play with friends > play singleplayer > play with randoms
• Game supports no mods.
You have the dlc which are worth the money in sale
• Game is never dead as you can play it in singleplayer.

The game is not bad at all. Most people who write this just expected something like l4d2 which was clear it's NOT, because no mod support is no new decision.
I would say ~200 hours is a good time you can spend in this game without it beeing to repetitive. If this is worth your 25$ is your decision.

I recomend this game only if you have at leat 1 friend you can play it with.
I also recommend the dlc in sale, but only one in the team needs the dlc to play the dlc-maps. The other dlc content (e.g. skins, chars) is individual.

Its enjoyable with friends, Swarm (PvP) is dead
If you are feeling adventurous (or masochistic), you can go for quickplay to play with randoms
No mod support afaik

while I do like B4B - I think WWZ Aftermath is definetely better game in this genre

No its a dead game and its definitely not any fun. Someone had to pay me to put 970 hours into this dumpster fire of a game with no redeeming qualities. Quake(1996) is a much better game and cheaper too! Try that one.
