I only ask this question, is because when my old 256GB SSD died on me last month, I was able to purchase a 2TB upgrade just prior to that and took my computer to the shop to get it installed. and funny enough, the game's loading time pretty much starts right up.
It is on an hdd, my main ssd is getting pretty full so I have a bunch of games on an HDD.
But it used to load fine, and all my other games load fine. It definitely seems to have something to do with compiling shaders.
that's probably part of the reason why "Back 4 Blood" is loading up more slowly, because it's on an HDD instead of an SSD. and if it is indeed something to do with compiling shaders, you might wanna turn it off and run some gaming tests to see if there's improved performance.
