edited to add that the only way to get the battle hardened skins currently is to purchase the ultimate edition. They can't currently be purchased separately like with the annual pass.
but as I said above, i'll wait until the price drops low enough (especially if i'm gonna get the Ultimate Edition)
Mostly because it isn't left 4 dead 3, it doesn't play anything like left 4 dead. This was honestly a plus for me that prompted me to buy the game. It is also a difficult game if you're saddled with randoms. Many can't be bothered to learn to play the game or really think about how their decks/builds work. You can't generally brute force through this game as it punishes that kind of play severely.
Now the game does have its flaws. AI partners can be both really good and awful at the same time. They are often better than human players in regards to their aim and supporting you by dropping ammo regularly and such. On the other hand they will often go braindead and stand in hazards, take nasty hits while trying to face tank special ridden enemies etc. Some players experience really bad desync in online mode and other connection issues (Not personally run into these myself so it depends on how fortunate you are) The game recently got a dlc update in the form of hives that spawn randomly on different maps. The issue you might run into if you decide to play with pugs is that often there are people who want to do the side content and those who don't. It causes some issues in teams that generally lead to a bad time for all.
There are other things but they don't bother me enough to point out, YMMV. I do find the game fun to hop into every now and then and let loose.
