There's other (arguably much better) co-op games with cheaper base prices, like Deep Rock Galactic, Darktide, Payday 2 and yes Left 4 Dead 2.
Wouldn't that mean your opinion also doesn't matter? This game is an overpriced turd riddled with problems in its release state, that only paid dlc can partially fix. It has many many reviews, and only about a 50% approval rating across all platforms.
That being said, they really did just shoot themselves in the foot by calling this the spiritual successor to left 4 dead because they barely feel like the same game within the same genre and Left 4 Dead is just that much more fun than B4B especially back during pre-release or release day for that matter.
Fatshark's co-op horde fps' felt more closer to the left 4 dead formula but even then i think if anyone wants left 4 dead they play left 4 dead lol.
Vermintide 1 or 2 says hello, made by the same people as Darktide but apparently much better. I say apparently because i havent tried darktide from the negative press yet, but i can vouch for the vermintides, both awesome. I'm sure they'll polish darktide up to verms` standard once its been out a while, and by then it'll be on sale. Yeehaw.
Shame, you're missing out on a great deal. If you like co op pve that is. Depends what youre looking for. You could cut off your nose to spite your face by not getting it and think "oh its been on sale it'll be avail at that price forever on 3rd party sites now". But all the 20k players who regularly play just now will move on once theyve had their fill of this £4 game. It's not a long term investment, buy it, play it and move on when done. If you're not interested why would you even post?
When i saw it was on sale i remembered i hadnt touched it at launch because it got super neg reviews. I saw it was so cheap and read its much better than it was at launch, and thats enough for me.
The opinion of someone who got it cheap and has actually played it is that its fun and totally worth the sale price.
Id even argue that for 99% off a turd sandwich you are probably getting value from the bread alone. Then depending on your need for nutrients there may be lots of digestible energy left within the turd itself. If you were starving that turd may just give you nutrients you need to survive until you can improve your situation. If not you maybe payed full price for whatever the turd is made of and were the first consumer, but after digestion, you just pooped your money down the toilet after only digesting half of it, then who was wiser? You see the first person didnt get a lovely sandwich and the 2nd a turd for cheap, the first person paid full price for a janky unfinished sandwich, the 2nd person paid 90% off for the same sandwich after the restraunt had refined its techniques and taken on board all the feedback.
