How do you start Act 2?

I'm playing via gamepass, I cannot find any players now that I've reached Act 2 and I want to continue past the first mission in my run.

There isn't even an option for me to start this run alone (or with bots) to allow others to join me via quickplay.

What is the deal here? Why do they disband my whole team on ending Act 1? How do I continue my run when I'm stuck sitting in a matchmaking lobby for hours on end?

You didn't even read the post. They're wondering how to start it after they beat act 1 because it won't let them do the usual "start solo and wait for joiners" that it's supposed to allow.

Finish all act in normal difficult, if you hard to find server you can play with both is better

do a fresh start of act 2 and delete the old run of it. continuation seems to be bugged and wont find people to join you (unless you bring in friends).

Continuing seems to be bugged or set up to only continue with the people in your game previously. I assume it wont continue because of the cards you already had unlocked in that game when playing with new players that will be starting with fresh cards. If you create game, pick the starting point, you will find a game fairly fast.

yeah i had to do this as well it wouldnt connect me with people using continue run had to choose the start from this point in act....... and then connected me.

The same thing is happening for act 3. It disbanded my whole team and now I cannot find a new one to start Act 3. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this? How can I not start a run continuing with players from my prior run?

You can if you form the team prior to starting the run. Every run I've been in where I formed a group at Fort Hope has had that group automatically follow me there if I choose to leave the run at any point. Same deal at the end of an Act once everyone hits "ready" I end up in Fort Hope and my pre-formed group loads in shortly afterwards. If you're asking why you can't just run Act 1-4 in one go without returning to Fort Hope that's just how it was designed.

Edit: If you're asking about the "continue" system that's been weird since launch though I will say it worked fine today when my duo team tried it and it even had two random people join.

Start a quickplay and then leave or just finish that round. Go back and load your run and it should find players. There appears to be a matchmaking bug that prevents the game from throwing you into a queue with other players. This was the workaround I found today until it gets patched. A restart also works.

The game is saved to the group you had. You don't need to continue that save to continue the game. It saves for people that have a dedicated group they play with. Just pick create new game, choose the starting point you left off at and get a new group. Game lets you have multiple saves.

=.= I literally said "start solo and wait for joiners". As in not full solo but online in a lobby by yourself waiting for others to join.

i have same problem, no players drop in after other players leave, all the players are bad, i cant get past ACT 2 on rookie, i am 100 percent sure i beat all the act 1 and act 2 map/levels individually at differerent times, but cant get to act 3. match making is horrible. its all bad.
