Fun Solo or Co-op with decent content for the sale price and very enjoyable.
Gameplay is fun to say the least but not really much mod compare to L4D.
2.5 is very worth it
if not, no.
We must be playing different games then. This is extremely alike to L4D, but also kinda different in its own way.
The game is fine and, at this moment, it's a good PvE player zombies horde focused shooter.
Personally, I have more fun playing this than Vanilla L4D and L4D2.
Still, the game does have its own set of issues which, in many cases, comes from the Cross-Platform system. If you play with Cross-Platform enabled, be ready for quite a big chance that you'll be mixed with:
- PS5 players with the worse microphone you have ever heard.
Seriously, I could bleed from my ears from listening to any player on the PS5 that uses the built-in microphone on the PS5 controller. It's basically a unormalized raw audio signal and the PS5 game client doesn't fix the audio before sending it to your ears.
For Xbox Users, you'll often be playing with players who are in a Xbox group (Party system on Xbox) and the voices are not send to other consoles or PC client in such cases. I often join a group of 2-3 Xbox player (they got the Xbox icon) and they are clearly speaking together while doing some stuff while I hear nothing.
- Kids... Kids everywhere. (Or people who acts like kids)
Sometimes, I wonder how old are some player with whom I play. There are games where I get to play with console players who seems to have 0 understanding of the game and yet they aren't playing on recruit (lowest) difficulty. I mean when I notice nobody is using a melee build, so I fill it... then someone who use Doc can only take 1 support item (meaning their cards are crap/not set yet) and only heal herself on top of getting surrounded by herself in the middle of nowhere and she ends up being revived the most out of the group, that gives you an idea.
- Players hosting from a Xbox One S or original PS4 console.
Let me make it clear, anyone on an Xbox One s or the original PS4 console should automatically relinquish the host status to others if applicable. The game on those console runs at 25-30 fps and the amount of desync every sec is staggering. (When half of the shot/strike register.... it's that bad.)
So, yeah. If you can find players to play with while disabling the Cross-Platform, the game can be a lot of fun about 95% of the time. There's a 5% where the numbers are just against you and you'll feel like the game can be a drag.
I would say that, today, the most difficult thing about the game is reaching the point where you'll be able to play on either of the 2 hardest difficulty because you'll have to play a LOT to unlock the right cards for making viable builds as you can only cards in pre-determined series of cards. (You got to finish 1 series to access the next one and you got to complete 1-2 acts of multiple missions to gain enough to unlock a series and so on.)
When it comes to gameplay i'd say....Expect a more frantic and intense slightly less polished ( in SOME areas ) l4d2?
It also has a gameplay core that kinda focuses on a more variable experience, as in lots of modifiers being applied at random but also available for you to build kits around.
oh and if you wanted more gross bodyhorror in l4d this game will definitely supply that haha
"NOT LIKE LEFT 4 DEAD?? CLEARLY ITS BAD"
and hold every mistake to this game like a knife to its throat lmao.
Ive had ENDLESS upond ENDLESS hours playing this game. I highlyh reccomend it.
Heng + food scavenger. is over powered.
its $2.50 and your asking lol?
i bought it for 50$ when it came out and have 700 hrs... still great value ($0.072 an hour rofl)
I played b4b beta and was underwhelmed. It was very confusing and hard even on the rookie level. It was also expensive at $80. So I ignored it. A couple of years later, updates, dlc, and $20 price tag, I don't regret it.
Not moddable afaik but dont get it in the HB bundle, get the deluxe edition or whatever in the HB store for like $30, which the upgrade from standard is like $30. its fun.
