Why is this game 60 bucks?

Not trying to ♥♥♥♥ on this game I am asking because I don't understand. I will not go into discussion with anyone. I genuinely just want to read some thoughts are as to why $60 is a good price for this game and let's shove the season pass and DLC aside for now.

I understand single player games being 60 bucks because it is an investment in your own time/entertainment and you can play whenever.
However for a game that (seems to) rely on multiplayer and having other people to play with it seems a bit ridiculous to me.
When I played this for free during the beta I thought it was a neat game and said to myself I'll get it if it's a reasonable price and then never got it because of the release price.

I already have trouble convincing a friend to play a $5 game with me . I don't really see anyone asking a friend "Hey wanna play this game with me? You'll have to cough up 60 bucks".
Sure you can play public matches but I don't think that compares at all.

The game is $60 because the developers who made it thought it was good enough.
It isn't. The playerbase is dwindling and eventually you won't find any online lobbies anymore, or you'll have to play at very specific times to find them. The game was a failure compared to their expectations.

So it's priced at $60, but not even worth $30. These devs' egos go far beyond what I can comprehend.

Though I will mention, incase you weren't aware. The DLC for this game are pricey as well, but if you purchase them, you can host for your friends and all of them will have access to your DLC. They'll be able to earn DLC currency and spend it, as well as enter DLC exclusive maps, they just won't get the opportunity to purchase skins (so you're not missing out on much, skins are crap).

Short answer is it's not really worth 60$. The highest absolute maximum the game is worth is around 40$ including all DLC imo (it goes on sale for much lower than that though). The saving grace for this game is Xbox Gamepass though, which enables people who don't want to pay up the price tag a chance to try it.

because 75% sale for a 60 game sounds better for many people as 37.5% for a 30 game.

I didn't pay nearly 60 for it and i didn't buy the DLC yet iv'e played all the game's content. In other words i don't really care.

After all the back and forth you (and I) were a part of last week in other threads you could not bring yourself to mention this was just on sale for a week at 15 bucks and will likely go on sale every month from here on out.

I said it last week and I will say it again, soften your heart, stop carrying so much hate for the devs.

As for the OP, if you want a friend to play with you wait for a sale and gift it to them. There is plenty of loot to pick up, lots of Zombies to slay and decent gameplay/environments.

Game is a 7.5/10, plenty of fun to be had for 50-100 hours.
