I think there is more then 10 times the content in good player made maps then there ever will be for b4b.
That's just one more reason people are mad at the dev for not doing workshop.
Also ditching their game after one year LOL.
I can't play a L4D clone that has vastly inferior gore.
If you only play a game for its gore factor, you need to get out more.
L4D2 hasn't been maintained by Valve since a year after release, just like Back 4 Blood. Visually it isn't great by today's standards.
Most of the people I run into when playing L4D (particularly versus) are from poorer regions with dated hardware so have limited choice when it comes to what games they can or can't play. I think that if L4D2 was remastered or re-released on a newer engine (UE5 for example) it would have a much smaller playerbase. CSGO is in the same boat, high player count after all these years, its gameplay is very basic, but it's accessible to a lot of people who aren't able to run much else.
